Shrimp Fried Rice

Fried rice with shrimp is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up leftover rice, and it can be customized to your liking by adding different vegetables, protein, and seasonings.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked rice, chilled
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and cooked through, about 2 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Add the onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  3. Add the rice, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil to the skillet. Stir to combine.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the rice is heated through, about 5 minutes more.
  6. Add the shrimp back to the skillet and stir to combine.
  7. Serve immediately.

Tips:

  • For a more flavorful fried rice, use day-old rice.
  • If you don’t have oyster sauce, you can substitute soy sauce or fish sauce.
  • You can add other vegetables to your fried rice, such as carrots, peas, or mushrooms.
  • You can also add other protein, such as chicken, beef, or tofu.

Enjoy!
